Generations and Mania are special as Generations actually brought me back into the series and Mania felt like the first game in a long time that didn't have some additional market baggage and was simply pure. Sonic Forces was the first one I ever did a completionist run but otherwise loved it for most of the same reasons I liked Sonic Adventure 2 as I loved the music and I found Infinite to absolutely the most delightful cartoony edgelord that knocked Shadow off the throne of "series edgelord" and proclaimed "I AM NOT WEAK". To the point I never completed his missions and didn't know about Super Sonic in Adventure until I watched Game Grumps do it. I keep coming back to Sonic Adventure for pure nostalgia reasons as that was my first Sonic game even if I have always hated Big the Cat. Is this a copypasta? What the hell is a "copypasta"? Items marked with * are not actually Sonic games but they play like them and are so good they may as well be. I forgot about that: I have it too though I've only beaten it with Lilac and gotten partway though with Carol. Awesome sonic like game, part 2 is coming out soon. I hugely advise you to check out Freedom Planet, it was made as a sonic fun game in mind but later on emerged in it's own IP. What a nice list you have there, thanks for the share. I only placed Forces higher than Generations despite playing the latter first as I think Forces is better than Generations in a few regards but I actually consider them just as nostalgic as each other. it also helps I am learning the language, or to put it another way: にほんごをべんきょしています。(I am learning Japanese) I choose the Dreamcast versions of the Adventure games despite growing up with SA2 Battle and SA1 DX (in that order) as they are so much better in quality after having played both and really showcase what the Dreamcast could do, like Mario 64 and Conker's Bad Fur Day on N64, or Doom and Marathon for both PC and Mac.Īll games listed with voice acting are best in the original Japanese with their respective Retranslated mods installed. The DREAMCAST versions of Sonic Adventure 2 and 1Īll games are listed for nostalgia value but are generally considered good all round for their respective "era". or its affiliates.New Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) and it's PC remake when it comes out SEGA, the SEGA logo and SONIC MANIA are either registered trademarks or trademarks of SEGA Holdings Co., Ltd.
